Five ways to get rid of negativity and achieve inner peace
Have you ever had negative emotions so strong that you felt you wanted to disappear from the universe?
We all have suffered in one way or another because of this type of emotion, and so far many people still live these negative feelings without finding a solution to get rid of them.
Well, the good news is that you can get rid of these negative feelings, in easy and simple ways that most people are ignorant of, even though they are always in front of their eyes.
You may ask yourself, how is that? The answer is simple, the reason behind this matter is due to the fact that all the negative emotions that human beings suffer from of all kinds, nature and intensity are due to two main things: either fear of the future, or regret for the past.
Most people are afraid of the unknown, and cannot face it. They are even terrified of the misfortunes it may bring to them, forgetting that this unknown future holds positive possibilities as well. Also, many of them live in regret and remorse for the past, as they refuse to accept what happened in it and strive to find out why something happened in a certain way, unaware that if they knew the reason, that would not change anything.
How, then, can we cope with these feelings of the past or the future that haunt us?
Today I brought you a learning platform, 5 easy and simple ways to get rid of negative feelings and live in lasting spiritual peace.
1- Focus on Now!
Perhaps one of the most important references that you can benefit from regarding this matter is the book “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle, in which he focuses on living in the present moment that will bring you the inner peace that you seek.
2- Accept!
This step is the second part of our approach to living in the present. And it boils down to the necessity of accepting your negative feelings rather than fighting them.
Many people seek to escape from their bad feelings in ways that may be harmful, such as excessive eating, drug abuse or Internet addiction, and others. Some of them may resort to other, less bad methods, such as sleeping, for example. But these things will not make the negative feelings disappear, you may feel better for a few moments, but as soon as that dark and painful feeling comes back again, and the episode continues indefinitely.
The only solution lies in acceptance, accepting the past with everything that happened in it, and accepting your bad feelings as they are without judging or wrestling with them. Try to fully understand how you feel, accept the idea that you are in pain, disappointment, weakness, or other negative emotions, and work to get them out and express them. This may be through crying, or practicing walking, jogging, boxing, etc. Once you accept your feelings and take them out of your body, you will feel a great relief like never before. And it will underestimate what you thought was great.
3- Use psychological freedom techniques (EFT)
The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an alternative treatment for physical pain and psychological problems, and it is sometimes referred to as the acupuncture technique for psychological problems. Many people use this technology, believing that through the tapping process around which this technology is centered, they can restore the balance of the energy flow in their bodies, as the reason behind all kinds of negative feelings is an imbalance in the energy flow in the human body, according to what the developer of the EFT explained. Gary Craig.
Although this technique is still being researched, it has been used before to treat thousands of patients suffering from depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD.
This technique focuses briefly on the important energy points in the human body, as explained by ancient Chinese medicine or what is known as Meridian points, where a specific group of these points is clicked in a certain order and number to restore the balance of energy flow in the body.
4- Use The Work technology
The Work is an approach invented by Byron Katie to identify and understand the thoughts behind all our suffering, and all the negative emotions we experience. This approach is represented in a set of questions that a person asks himself regarding certain feelings he feels or an idea in his mind. These questions are as follows:
_ Is it (the thought or feeling I am feeling) real?
_ Is there a way to confirm that it (the thought or feeling I am feeling) is real?
_ What do I feel when I believe in this idea and believe it?
_ What would I be if this thought or feeling did not exist?
When you ask these questions and think deeply about their answers, you will be able to understand many things, and you will know the magnitude of the great influence of your ideas that may not be unfounded on your reality.
5- Neuro-linguistic programming
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is also known as NLP, which stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. To clarify what is meant by this concept, we can say that it is a method of linking the conscious mind with the unconscious mind, as each of them uses a specific language that differs from the other, and each of them has a specific function. The conscious mind is usually expressed as a specific goal, while the unconscious mind is responsible for achieving this goal.
The role of NLP is to determine the correct way to define goals (and what you want in life in general) at the level of the conscious mind, so that the unconscious mind can achieve these goals.
For example, if you want to be rich or happy, or find your ideal life partner, and you get in return the opposite of what you wished, then be sure that there is a defect in the way in which you determined what you want.
Through these simple steps, and if you follow them continuously and make them part of your daily routine, you will find that your negative feelings have begun to diminish little by little to be replaced by feelings of optimism, comfort and inner peace. Always remember that if you want things around you to change, you must start yourself by making a change in yourself and in your thinking. Are you ready then?
